I know what you're thinking. "Oh G-d. There's another new fandom." Bear with me? I went to go see the musical "Hair" with my parents on Sunday. *boggles* If you have not seen this and live anywhere near NYC... go see it. Especially if you're a slash fanatic. *eg* The pairing (which is technically a threesome) are Berger and Claude (played by Will Swenson and Gavin Creel, respectively). The sheer chemistry between them is... it's... I don't have words. *_*
The third wheel to their little threesome is a girl named Sheila, your typical cause-driven activist. Claude is your martyr character who's terrified of being drafted, but is even more terrified of disappointing his father any more than he's already done. Berger is the free-spirit, the very embodiment of the hippie subculture's "Don't worry, be happy" attitude. Sheila is in love with Berger. Claude is in love with them both. However... Berger, while he also loves Sheila and Claude both, cares not when Sheila skips town for weeks on end... yet is absolutely frantic when Claude disappears for three days. Also, I remember thinking as I was watching the show, "They make such a big deal out of how much Sheila loves Berger and Claude loves Sheila... yet whenever Berger and Claude have a free moment or a song together, they're either rolling around on the floor with each other or groping each other at center stage. Hmmm..." ^_~
I shit you not, it is true. I've been dying to see fic for this musical ever since the first scene that Berger and Claude were both in. H_H

7/26/10: Sheila has watched Berger destroying himself for months and finally decides that she can't take any more of it. She's going to save him from himself no matter the cost... or the ultimate prize. Sequel to "Going Down."
1/30/10: So... needless to say, I've had my own plotbunnies gnawing on me since Sunday, but couldn't get up the guts to indulge any. However... they were breeding in my kitchen all afternoon and I have a brand new laptop. O_O Eh-heh... I wrote the whole damned thing in one sitting. All 12,463 words of it. And I think there will be sequels. O_O *coughs* Enjoy?
2/11/10: It's now been about a year since the events in "Where Do I Go?". Berger is as recovered as he's going to get... and not a moment too soon. When Claude's returning memories of Viet Nam coincide with Sheila's reappearance in their lives, things are going to get ugly, fast... and he's going to need all the help he can get.
3/21/10: Third in the "Where Do I Go?" set. Ignoring a problem doesn't make it go away, no matter how desperately you might wish it would. And our Tribe has been ignoring far too many problems of late. What happens when the dam finally collapses?
5/5/10: Fourth in the Where Do I Go? set -- The long-awaited premiere of Jeanie's musical is fast approaching. Everything finally seems to be going smoothly, but nothing is ever really as simple as it appears... is it?
5/10/10: A simple day trip into the city quickly turns into something more as our favorite tribe gets its start. ^_^ Takes place in 1964. Just a small bit of fluff that was distracting me while writing "Hair: Redux." ^_^
6/17/10: It's been two years since George met Woof. Those two years have changed him dramatically, but he still isn't ready to give up being the man his parents want him to be. Unfortunately for him... that isn't always a choice.
3/27/10: It's November of 1966 and Claude's parents have just discovered that he dropped out of school. Sure that there is no way that can end well, Claude flees his home... straight into the waiting arms of Berger's Tribe. Obviously, set before the musical. Falls in time about 1 month or two before "White Boys."
3/6/10: Technically set in my broader "Hair" ficverse, but really could fit in with the general flow of the musical, no knowledge of the other fics necessary. Just a small piece of harmless fluff. The year is 1966, Claude has dropped out of school in the fall of his senior year and hooked up with the Tribe. Not even a month later, Berger has already decided that he wants more from the older boy... and what Berger wants, Berger gets.
6/29/10: Berger is looking forward to spending his first Christmas alone with Claude and has many fun plans for the occasion. Unfortunately for him, a miserable cold gets in the way. Time for Plan 'B!'
3/12/10: On a rainy Friday, Claude is being his normal Aquarius-y self and over-thinking everything as he tries to ready himself to sacrifice his own happiness to make way for others. Fortunately, neither Berger nor Sheila is ready to let him go. Set in May of 1967, sequel of sorts to "White Boys".
3/1/10: Prequel to Where Do I Go?. It's been 2 1/2 years since Claude was drafted. Berger and Sheila are nearly breaking under the strain of trying to keep each other and their Tribe together. Just when Sheila starts to think that they can't take one more thing, they finally get the news they've been dreading... Claude is dead.
3/31/10: It's a tendency of youth to become overly exuberant about many things, including movies. And Berger may no longer be young in body, but he's certainly young at heart. Besides, everyone knows that movies make the best make-out spots... Just a short piece of fluff that takes place a few months after "I Believe in Love."
